Vision Sunday 2020

We will get a brief introduction to the book of Acts, and then we will look at the importance of the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. We will also look at God‘s promise to those of us who await His return.

Today, we will learn about the importance of unity among believers. We will learn the difference between unity and uniformity. We will come to see that unity is the power position of the church.

Today, in Pastor Bill Buffington's message, we will see that God keeps His promises. The Holy Spirit is poured out upon the church, just as Jesus had promised. The response from outsiders is varied. It raises the question: How do we respond to the genuine work of the Holy Spirit?

Today, we will learn about Spirit-filled preaching. As Peter, now filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, preaches his first message, we will focus in on the characteristics of proclaiming God’s message under the power and inspiration of His spirit. The prayer is that we will all be encouraged and emboldened to speak God‘s word in power.

Take a look at several characteristics of a healthy church. We will learn of the importance of evangelism, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and much more.

In today’s message we will learn about the power of God to heal and transform men. We will also learn that what we often need most cannot be purchased with money, but comes directly from the hand of God.

Today’s message will challenge us to be on the lookout in our daily lives for opportunities to share the gospel. As we see Peter take another opportunity to give a gospel message that results in salvation, we, too, can be “opportunist for the Lord.”

Wherever God is working, Satan is resisting. In today’s message we will learn how to deal with persecution. We will learn that there are times when believers are to resist the ordinances of man in order that they might obey God above man.

Let''s learn what it looks like to be of one heart and one soul with a group of other believers. There is special power available when believers are in one accord and come together in prayer.
