The tongue has power to do great evil or great good. We cannot tame our tongues in our own strength, we need God‘s strength to tame the tongue.

Today, in Pastor Bill Buffington's message, we will see that God keeps His promises. The Holy Spirit is poured out upon the church, just as Jesus had promised. The response from outsiders is varied. It raises the question: How do we respond to the genuine work of the Holy Spirit?

We will learn about dud (dead) faith and active faith. We will see how active faith can profit us and how dud faith does not.

Today, we will learn about the importance of unity among believers. We will learn the difference between unity and uniformity. We will come to see that unity is the power position of the church.

We will get a brief introduction to the book of Acts, and then we will look at the importance of the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. We will also look at God‘s promise to those of us who await His return.

God saves us and desires to use each believer for His glory. He works in us to transform our lives.

Today we will look at the victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. Last chapter dealt with His death, this chapter deals with His resurrection to life and gives us instruction about how we should respond to what Jesus has done for us. Disciples making disciples is His plan.

We all experience tests, trials, and temptations. God's word tells us how to navigate these and be victorious.

In today’s message, we see Christ crucified on the cross. We will look at several things that Christ did for us at the cross. We will come to learn and know that this is the most important death in history.
