In this message we will be introduced to a mysterious character, Melchizedek. We will learn that Jesus Priesthood is after the same order as Melchizedek’s priesthood. What we will see as we investigate his life is that Jesus brings a much better Priesthood to believers. One more very significant reason why Jesus is better.

In this chapter, we learn some wonderful things about the priesthood of Jesus, and it seems that the writer of Hebrews has more he wishes he could say, but his audience has become “Dull of Hearing”. We will learn some principles that will help us to have sensitive ears to the voice of God and not become dull of hearing.

In today’s message we will discuss Christ's willingness to identify with us. While He is not ashamed to be identified with us, sometimes we are ashamed to be identified with Him. My prayer is after today’s message, we will never be ashamed to identify with and represent Him again.

Have you ever drifted in your relationship with God? In today’s message, we will look at the danger of drifting, how subtly we can begin to drift, and what we should do if we find that we have drifted away from the Lord. Our prayer is that this teaching will bring you closer to The Lord and strengthen your commitment to him.

Today as we begin our study in the book of Hebrews, we will have a brief introduction to the book. Then we will begin with our first message on why Jesus is so much better! This letter was written to discouraged and persecuted Jewish believers. Some were so discouraged they were considering turning back to Judaism and leaving their faith in Christ. This letter serves to encourage them to continue with Christ because he is so much better than everything they left behind in Judaism. I pray that we will discover as we continue through this book that Jesus is so much better than anything we may have left behind or turned away from to pursue Him. Be blessed.

After delivering a very heavy warning earlier in the chapter, the writer of Hebrews now gives some encouragement for the Saints. We will learn that Jesus and His word provides hope for the believer and is an anchor for our soul. In the same way the anchor on a boat holds it steady through turbulent waters, our hope in Jesus, and in His word should hold us steady through the trials and tribulations we experience in the world.

In this message, we will look at part two of the end of disobedience. As the book of 2 Kings comes to an end, yet once more we will be reminded of the consequence of not obeying God. I pray that we would take from this lesson, the encouragement to heed God‘s word and enjoy His blessing rather than disobey and receive his discipline.

In today’s message, we will answer the question, “Can a person lose their salvation”? The writer of Hebrews gives a stern warning, but he also gives wisdom to the believer that may be struggling. I pray that we would walk away from this message with a greater understanding of our salvation and how we can be assured of it.

In this study, we will see the fall of Jerusalem. After many warnings from the prophets, they have reached the point of no return. God had spoken through His prophets the judgment that was surely to come, and it is here. We will learn a powerful lesson tonight on the fruit of disobedience. While obedience brings blessing, disobedience brings disaster.

In this message, we will see the fall of Judah. As we look at the cause of Judah‘s fall, my prayer is that we will learn from the errors of those who have gone before us. The scripture says “these things are written for our learning”. As we watch them fall, may we stand strong, in obedience to the Lord.
