In this message, we will see the end of ninth and final Dynasty of Israel. Though there had been many warnings through the prophets over many years, we see in this chapter all the many ways that they continued to sin and rebel against the Lord. While He had been gracious previously, they’re finally comes a time when God will allow His discipline to come full strength. May we learn from their error to heed the warning of the Lord that we might not have to face His wrath.

In this Psalm, we will see the importance of connection with The Lord. The Psalmist cries out to the Lord, asking to be Heard and later he shares that he is confident in the Lord because he knows God hears him. What a privilege it is to be heard by God. May this Psalm bring us the same confidence and peace that it brought David.

In this message, we will see the wrong kind of power couple. Ahab and Jezebel come together in the most wicked of ways. While Ahab was one of the most wicked kings in Israel’s history, God uses him to show us how merciful He can be.

In this Psalm, David is again facing growing adversity. In the midst of it all he rejoices in the Lord, recounting the blessings of following the Lord and the glory to come after death.

In this message, we will learn of the importance of fearing the Lord. Something unique we will discover in this section of scripture is that God held Pagans accountable for not fearing Him properly. Whomever you are and in whatever state of being you are, we will learn tonight, the importance of walking in the fear of the Lord.

In this chapter, we will see King Jehoash live out his reign and life. He very much honored the priest Jehoiada, who was over him, but it would appear that he did not honor The Lord as much. He did right as long as Jahoiada was watching over him, but when Jahoiada died, he did wrong Before the Lord and his people. There are lessons to be learned tonight of the importance of fearing God and the danger of living in the fear of man.

In this beloved Psalm that we are covering tonight, we will learn about the great Shepherd. As David declares the Lord is his Shepherd and shares many of the blessings and benefits of being under the leadership of such a loving, gracious and powerful Shepherd. I hope that we will all be encouraged tonight to come under His leadership as we look at the great Shepherd of Psalm 23
