Road to the Cross

In today’s message, we see Christ crucified on the cross. We will look at several things that Christ did for us at the cross. We will come to learn and know that this is the most important death in history.

Revelation 13:1-18 (Counterfeit Christ)

Last week we saw Elijah on the mountain top having a wonderful victory over king Ahab and the prophets of Baal. This week we see what it looks like in the valley. He will struggle with depression, loneliness, and even a desire to die. May God minister to our hearts as we see how he deals with his prophet.

Last week Job looked back to the good old days when things were sweet with him and The Lord, when he was treated with regard and respect by people, when his health and strength were good, when he was wealthy, and able to be a blessing to others, and so on. This week he contrasts his current life with the good old days and begins to complain. We will learn to seek God in every season.

Last week in Ch.11 we saw David sin greatly in a number of ways. Today in Ch.12 we will see the damaging long term results his sin would have. We will also learn about Gods mercy, forgiveness, and faithfulness that goes beyond us.
