In this message, we will look at part two of the end of disobedience. As the book of 2 Kings comes to an end, yet once more we will be reminded of the consequence of not obeying God. I pray that we would take from this lesson, the encouragement to heed God‘s word and enjoy His blessing rather than disobey and receive his discipline.

In this chapter, we will see King Jehoash live out his reign and life. He very much honored the priest Jehoiada, who was over him, but it would appear that he did not honor The Lord as much. He did right as long as Jahoiada was watching over him, but when Jahoiada died, he did wrong Before the Lord and his people. There are lessons to be learned tonight of the importance of fearing God and the danger of living in the fear of man.

In this message, we will see Elijah passing the spiritual baton to Elisha. We will learn some important lessons on the importance of leading those who will follow in our footsteps and also the importance of following those that God has given us as leaders.

In this message, we will see the wrong kind of power couple. Ahab and Jezebel come together in the most wicked of ways. While Ahab was one of the most wicked kings in Israel’s history, God uses him to show us how merciful He can be.

In this message, we will see while Asa reigned in Judah for 41 years, Israel would have several kings and they seem to go from bad to worse. It is often true that wicked leaders beget wicked leaders. We will also see that wicked leaders produce wicked followers. We should be very careful who we elect as our leaders.

In this study, we will look at king Asa and his life before God. He was a king that started well, struggled in the middle, and though he didn’t finish the way we would like to see, he never fell victim to idolatry, and God counted him as one of the good kings. We will learn about the importance of keeping our foot on the gas in our walk with God, balanced out with God‘s graciousness towards us.

In this study, we will see the fall of Jerusalem. After many warnings from the prophets, they have reached the point of no return. God had spoken through His prophets the judgment that was surely to come, and it is here. We will learn a powerful lesson tonight on the fruit of disobedience. While obedience brings blessing, disobedience brings disaster.

In this message, we will see the fall of Judah. As we look at the cause of Judah‘s fall, my prayer is that we will learn from the errors of those who have gone before us. The scripture says “these things are written for our learning”. As we watch them fall, may we stand strong, in obedience to the Lord.

In this message, we will continue to look at King Josiah. Not only did he lead the nation back to The Lord as he received a copy of the word of God, but he also made sure that it would be very difficult for them to go back to the things that Caused them to sin against the Lord. We will learn important principles on not just departing from sin, but making sure that there is no turning back.

In this message, we see King Josiah become king at eight years of age. He was young, but came into his own relationship with the Lord early in life. This allowed him to be used by God in a powerful way, even as a young man. We will be encouraged tonight as we look at some of the traits and characteristics that make young people useful in God‘s hands.
