There are times when we are about to make mistakes so big that God will graciously intervene and save us from ourselves. This is what happens to David in 1 Samuel 29.

In ch 14 of 1 Samuel we will learn about venturing out in faith. We will also lean about the contrast of faith led leadership.

In this chapter Samuel prepares Israel to follow their new leader, King Saul. We learn about Gods deliverance, His discipline, and His direction for the future.

We will compare and contrast of Samuel to the household of Eli, the priest and see the difference it makes when we dedicate our children to God.

In this study, we will see what it looks like to return to the Lord and how radically things can turn around when we do.

In this study, we will look at two men (David and Saul) who are not listening to God. We will talk about the danger of not listening when God speaks. We will also learn that you can refuse to listen to God for so long that when you want to hear, you can’t.

In this study, we will learn about the danger of listening to our own hearts as we see David make some seriously bad decisions after listening to the dictates of his own deceitful heart.

In this study, we will see David in a similar situation, with very similar circumstances, but with an even better outcome than before. We will Lear to grow as we go through life’s challenges.

In this study, we will learn that there is always a choice to make when we are tempted. And that God even makes a way of escape if we will take it that we might not sin against Him.

Today we will see what it means to have a “Heart after God” or to be a person after Gods heart as David has an opportunity for revenge but leaves things in Gods hands.
