This chapter really lays out the danger of false teachers. We will learn about the identifying characteristics of false teachers, the judgement of God for their sin, why they do what they do, the deception they are under and how to avoid being ensnared by them.

This will be part one of a two part message in 2 Peter 3 where we will look at the reality of Christ return. We will learn about the attitude of non believers in the end times, why it seems like God is taking so long, and what we need to do to be ready for His return.

In this study, we will learn how that David (who was indeed a man after Gods own heart) had a heart to bless the Lord. We will learn the importance and blessing of being people whose hearts are truly with the Lord.

In this study, we will see that when David had rest from the Lord, he went to work for the Lord. It is so important what we choose to do when we have seasons of rest. We will also learn that while we work in the natural, God does the greater work on our behalf.

In this study, we will see David intentionally seek out the son of Jonathan that he might show “the kindness of God”. As we see what David did for Mephibosheth (Jonathan’s son) we learn about the kindness of God towards us.
